The Kent School Equestrian Team Indoor Arena Fundraising Initiative
The Kent School Equestrian Team provides students with a rare opportunity to pursue their passion for riding while receiving an exceptional education. Competing in the hunter, jumper, and equitation rings, our riders train at Kent’s own equestrian facility, just 15 minutes from campus—an advantage unmatched by any other Founders League school.
The Kent School Equestrian Team provides student-athletes with unparalleled training from renowned trainers, riders, Olympians, and top horse show judges. Beyond refining their skills in the ring, our program is dedicated to developing well-rounded horsemen and horsewomen, instilling discipline, sportsmanship, and a deep understanding of horsemanship.
For more than half the academic year, cold weather limits outdoor training, making a heated indoor arena essential to our athletes’ success. Our current indoor facility, built in 1968, has been the foundation of our thriving three-term Varsity sport, but aging infrastructure and the inability to insulate the space now present significant challenges
To sustain and elevate our program, a new indoor facility is critical. With your support, we can ensure our riders continue to train at the highest level and uphold Kent’s proud equestrian tradition.
This project presents exciting opportunities to elevate the Kent School Equestrian Program, ensuring our athletes train in a world-class facility that reflects their dedication and passion.
We are proud to partner with King Construction, a renowned leader in building exceptional and functional indoor riding arenas, to bring this vision to life.
Key enhancements include:
Expanding the indoor arena, allowing for concurrent lessons during colder months. This optimization not only enhances instructional efficiency but also enables us to grow the program and welcome more student-athletes.
A modern design featuring windows for enhanced ventilation during the warmer months and natural light, ensuring a comfortable training environment for horses and riders year-round.
By investing in this facility, we are strengthening Kent’s equestrian legacy while enhancing the Kent riding experience for the next generation of riders.
Kent School’s commitment to equestrian excellence is stronger than ever, and we invite you to be part of this transformative moment. Rebuilding the indoor arenas and ensuring the ongoing success of the Kent School Equestrian Team represents a $2,000,000 investment in our students, our program, and our future.
We are honored to unveil a commemorative plaque wall where past, current, and future riders can leave a lasting tribute—to their time on the Kent School Equestrian Team, their teammates, their instructors, or perhaps most meaningfully, the horses who carried them.
A small plaque features the name(s) of the honoree(s) and a dedication of a few words - $10,000
A large plaque features the name(s) of the honoree(s) and a 2-sentence dedication - $25,000
