The Legacy Campaign for KSET’s Next Chapter
Kent School Equestrian Team is entering a new era, one that honors where we've come from as much as where we're headed. Under the leadership of Program Director Kara Ferreira and Head Trainer Lauren Meehan, KSET has been reimagined from the ground up: a unified training philosophy rooted in true horsemanship, a structured program delivering more instruction than ever before, and a competitive record that speaks for itself. This September, that transformation finds its home in a fully renovated Michael O. Page Equestrian Center with a newly updated indoor facility. As we open the doors to this new chapter, we're inviting the community that built KSET's foundation — our alumni, past parents, and friends of the program — to help shape what comes next.
Forward, Together
Under new leadership, the program has returned to its roots — a true emphasis on the fundamentals, in the spirit of Michael O. Page himself, where balance, feel, and correct foundational horsemanship come before shortcuts or gimmicks. That commitment to fundamentals is now paired with advanced training, conditioning, and care programs: a structured lesson model guaranteeing every rider 4-5 lessons per week, a cohesive team of philosophy-aligned trainers, and access to world-class instructors including Olympian Peter Wylde.
Our competitive program has sharpened its focus on the CHJA circuit, giving riders clearer paths to points, finals, and meaningful competition without sacrificing academics. We’ve also introduced more A-rated shows, ending with an overnight trip at HITS Hudson Valley.
A visible signal of this new era is our newly renovated indoor facility, which houses two arenas built to support serious, year-round training and finally match the caliber of instruction, care, and fundamentals happening inside. With this momentum, and a program that has never been stronger, now is the time to invest in securing KSET's rightful legacy for the riders who will call this program home for generations to come.
Kent School's commitment to equestrian excellence is stronger than ever, and we invite you to be part of this transformative moment. The renovation of our indoor facilities represents a $1,000,000 investment in our students, our program, and our future. The Legacy Campaign invites current families, alumni, and friends of the program to help match that investment, with a shared goal of $1,000,000 in community support.

The Legacy Wall
A permanent place at the heart of the program.
Located at the newly renovated entrance to the Michael O. Page Equestrian Center — the first thing every rider, family, and visitor sees when they walk through the door — the KSET Legacy Wall is a lasting tribute to the people who have shaped this program's story.
This is more than a donor wall. It's a place for graduating seniors' families to leave something behind for the riders who follow. A place for past parents to mark the years their family called this barn home. A place for alumni to honor the horse that taught them to ride, the trainer who believed in them, or the teammates who became friends for life.
And it's just getting started. The Legacy Wall isn't a one-time campaign. It's an ongoing tradition that will grow every year, welcoming new names and new stories as KSET's community continues to expand.
